Beat SCAD

About us

Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection is an underdiagnosed heart condition that cannot be predicted or prevented. It affects people with few or none of the normal risk factors for heart disease and currently we don't know why it happens.

Beat SCAD is a patient-led charity that raises funds for research into the condition, supports SCAD patients and their families, and raises awareness of SCAD.

Research

Support

Awareness

Many medical professionals only come across SCAD in medical textbooks. We want to increase awareness among care-givers as well as among SCAD patients, their family and friends and the general population. We believe increased awareness will lead to earlier diagnosis and better outcomes for SCAD patients.
