My Story

The Great North Run: Running the half marathon for Money for Madagascar (MfM)

For 13 years now I have been attending charity events in aid of Money for Madagascar and now I am running the Great North Run to help. The money raised will support children and their families in their everyday living needs, providing them with the opportunity to work and create a better life for themselves. It will also help protect the rainforests that are vital for the survival of Malagasy communities.

The money raised will help the community to become self-reliant by growing their own crops, and children will receive education and access to water. Through this charity children and families will have support through some of the adverse hardship that continues to exist in Madagascar.

I believe fundraising for MfM  is a worthy cause and knowing I can make a difference to the charity and brighten the future of some Malagasy families.

We all have challenges throughout life and I myself have had to ask for support at times.
