My Story

‘I feel like I’m in my safe place. The staff and volunteers are like my family’ *

So... to mark my final few months at Action Foundation - a brilliant NE charity I've had the privilege of working for over the past five years - I plan to tackle three sporting challenges this summer: the Yorkshire 3-peaks in a day; a Coast to Coast cycle ride; and the iconic Great North Run - the world’s biggest and best half marathon! Action Foundation has been at the forefront in providing welcome and support to people seeking asylum and refugees for the past 13 years and its work is needed now more than ever. Your generosity will help sustain our vital housing, language, advice and digital inclusion services and make a tangible difference to the lives of those fleeing conflict, war and persecution.
