My Story

I've always had a great affinity to the North East. Growing up I remember the long drives up the M1 to visit family, running in between the pillars at Grey Street and dodging the Quayside seagulls on the way to St. James' Park. So when I started working at NRAS nearly 10 months ago, the opportunity to do the Great North Run for a great cause was too good to pass up.

My previous attempt at running hobbling a half marathon didn't go so well and having turned 30 this year, I've been looking for a new challenge. If those living with Rheumatoid Arthritis can be uncomfortable on their bad days, I'm willing to be uncomfortable for a few hours.

Cheers, Geoff.
