My Story

I am very delighted to take part in the Great North Run on Sunday, 11th September 2022! We, the country, and the world is mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II. While it is a sad day, it also gives us an opportunity to celebrate the life of our Queen and her long service to the community, even till the end of her life. She has been a patron to several charities, and it is only a fitting tribute to our Queen that we continue with charitable donations and help the charities to serve the needs of the many! This makes the Great North Run a historial moment and I feel very privileged to take part in the half-marathon, and support the mission of CAFOD.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen!

Everyone, everywhere, have rights to live peacefully and have all their basic needs met! I'm very grateful to all those who have helped, guided, and guarded me so far to lead a relatively decent life. It's high time that we now turn our attention to those in need, in the Global South. Let's support CAFOD in their mission to alleviate poverty and empower those neglected by power and discrimination to participate equally in all aspects of life!

A remembrance prayer

God of our longing,
hear our prayers
protect our dreams,
and listen to our silent hopes.

Deal gently with our pain,
speak to our sadness,
and remove the barriers
that imprison our spirit.

Shed your light
where shadows are cast,
that we may feel your warmth
and know your presence.

Give us courage
to hold fast to our vision
that we may build our world
and create our future.

Amen.
