My Story

Late last year a colleague and more importantly a friend was involved in a mountain bike accident. Injuries sustained from the accident were so severe, my friend was paralysed from the chest down. This has meant he won't be able to walk or carry out things we take for granted. It also means he can't work as an operational firefighter again.

The Firefighters charity offers support for injured Fire Service personnel and their families. Rehabilitation both physical and mental is offered at centres throughout the country.

I am aiming to raise funds for the charity and take part in The Great North Run 2022. For those who know me, know I can't normally run a bath. This will be hard going for me, however I'm determined to complete it for this excellent charity.
