Mito Monkey

My Story

In July 2022 the Charlie Gard Foundation mascot 'Monkey' was unfortunately involved in a serious road traffic accident en route to a charity garden project. Thankfully, he's still here and in one piece, but he's not able to run the half marathon this year due to injuries so he's just going to walk round with a team of wonderful supporters and his trusy charity bucket!

If you do see him on the day please give him a shout and a wave of encouragement. It's a difficult task for him this year but he's hoping to raise a few pennies as he makes his way around the course just that little bit slower this year!

Monkey is our biggest advocate for the charity and loves to support our children and adults who have been affected by the devastating, life-limiting, genetic condition that is mitochondrial disease. Please help support him on his journey to raise funds and help to create a brighter mito future because mito matters.
