My Story

Neil - Pendleside supported my dad Colin through his final days and for the care, compassion and support they offered I will be forever in their debt. Dad was a native geordie who relocated to Lancashire in his twenties. My childhood was filled with trips to the North East and I still have family there, making it poignant that I return to partipate in the Great North Run for the first time, joining 57,000 determined and dedicated runners (including my better half Helen and my cousin Steven) for the World’s biggest and best half marathon, hopefully raising a healthy amount to support everything that Pendleside Hospice does.

Helen - my support of Pendleside is very personal and I continue to help them in any way I can, as a Trustee and in this instance a GNRunner. I'm hoping that my regular running with Ramsbottom Running Club prepares me for the 'lumpy' route. Wishing Ian Bythell the very best of luck for his GNR efforts on behalf of Pendleside too.

All donations are very much appreciated. Thank you.
